“Three People In Love” is 1970 era funk at its best. It was featured on the amazing Brainfreeze mix that DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist put together in 1999. Rice is best known as the songwriter behind massive hits like “Mustang Sally” and The Staple Singers’ “Respect Yourself”, but “Three People In Love” remains a standout example of his gritty solo work.
