McKenzie & Gardiner are a certified UK Boogie Funk group from back in the day, known by funk/boogie aficionados and crate-diggers worldwide, thanks to songs like “From Time” and “Hold On Tight”.
The A Side, “Got To Get Away 2020”, kicks off a brand new chapter for the duo: an infectious synth funk drum machine groove, matched by heartfelt lyrics about the need to escape and self-heal at the end of a deep relationship gone bad. The B Side is their classic cut “From Time”, now back on a 7" release for the first time since its initial release in 1983.
